Opus Plasma is a skin resurfacing treatment that can help improve the appearance of your skin. It's minimally invasive, and works by using precise thermal energy to target and treat damaged or aging skin. With skin resurfacing, patients can expect to see an improvement in wrinkles, skin tone and texture. Opus Plasma is safe and effective for all skin types.

How Does Opus Plasma Work?

Fractional plasma energy is used to make tiny channels or "microinjuries" in the skin - activating new collagen and elastin production. As plasma energy is fractionalized, only a fraction of an area is being treated at once while leaving surrounding skin unharmed for a faster recovery time. The results are smoother, elastic and younger-looking skin without the long wait of other resurfacing treatments.

What areas of the body can Opus Plasma Treat?

We chose the Opus Plasma for our clients due to its range of abilities to treat is popular for everything from skin tightening to acne scar treatments, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Lax skin

  • Crow’s feet

  • Pigmentation and dark spots

  • Dull skin

  • Acne scars

  • Surgery scars

  • Stretch marks

  • Large pores

  • Uneven texture

Results are customizable by applicator type and depth of treatments that can be ideally adjusted to treat various areas of the body, neck, chest, and face.

What makes Opus Plasma different from other skin resurfacing treatments?

Opus Plasma is a unique skincare treatment that combines both RF energy and plasma while utilizing the power of ionized gas to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and blemishes. This technology relies on plasma energy to gently heat and stimulate the skin's natural healing process, promoting collagen production and helping to improve skin texture and tone. This deeper resurfacing also helps to exfoliate dead cells and build new healthy tissues from within. This combination allows for treatment along larger areas such as the abdomen, as well as more sensitive areas such as the eyelids.

Can Opus be used on any skin type?

Yes! The great thing about this revolutionary treatment is that it's safe to be used on all skin types - even dark ones! Many skin resurfacing treatments come with a risk of hypo or hyperpigmentation, but this one carries no such hazard. It has also been approved for Fitzpatrick types I through V, so anyone can enjoy the benefits of Opus Plasma skin resurfacing.

Are treatments painful?

Numbing creams are typically applied prior to treatment to alleviate discomfort and treatments are fairly quick, lasting between 10 and 30 minutes.

How long will it take to recover and what will my face look like until then?

Skin resurfacing typically requires a recovery period of 2 to 3 days after the treatment, during which time you may experience redness and swelling. To protect your skin from harmful UV rays, you should wear sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF and avoid direct sun exposure for two weeks. Once the redness has subsided, most people are able to return to their usual activities, but makeup may be necessary to cover any lingering discoloration.

Is a single treatment best or is a series of treatments best?

Skin resurfacing is a procedure that can help improve your skin's overall texture, appearance and tone. Usually, the best results come from 3 treatments spaced one month apart, with improvements starting to show after the first session as new collagen production kicks in.
